Taken at the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles, CA. Before there was a Farmers Market on this corner, Arthur Fremont Gilmore ran a dairy farm here. After he struck oil, his son E. B. Gilmore opened the country's first self-serve gas station, a "gas-a-teria" at 3rd & Fairfax. These pumps pay tribute to his part in the market's story.
